Sheikha Latifa Highlights Dubai’s Commitment to Cultural Identity and Global Creativity

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has reaffirmed Dubai’s commitment to cultural initiatives that embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to position the city as a global hub for creativity, coexistence, and cultural exchange.

Sheikha Latifa underlined that this vision strikes a balance between authenticity and modernity, enabling engagement with diverse cultural achievements while preserving national identity.

The remarks came as Sheikha Latifa chaired the Cultural Identity and Media Leaders Majlis, held within the framework of the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, which convened 1,000 leaders from government and the private sector.

She noted that the forum reflects Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership philosophy of action, resilience, and service. She further stressed that culture and media play a vital role in safeguarding identity, strengthening global connections, and shaping the future.

The majlis discussed strategies to reinforce Dubai’s cultural identity and expand its global influence, with emphasis on heritage, innovation, and storytelling. It also featured an interactive workshop, The Memory to Come: Dubai as it Should be Told, organised in collaboration with Room Five, encouraging participants to reflect on the values and narratives that should define Dubai’s legacy.

Prominent cultural leaders, policymakers, and international experts took part in the session, which underscored Dubai’s growing role as a leading centre for creativity and cultural diversity on the world stage.
