Sultan of Oman Meets UK Prime Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

London, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer today at the Cabinet’s headquarters in London. The meeting underscored the deep-rooted historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom, focusing on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation to benefit the peoples of both nations.

During their discussions, Sultan Haitham and Prime Minister Starmer reviewed the longstanding ties between their countries and explored avenues for strengthening cooperation in various fields. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and other matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by key officials from both sides. Representing Oman were Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; and Badr Mohammed Al Mantheri, Ambassador of Oman to the UK. The British delegation included David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs; Liane Saunders, UK Ambassador to Oman; and several other officials.

This high-level meeting highlights the ongoing commitment of both nations to foster strong diplomatic and cooperative relations.
