Sultan of Oman Meets World Bank Group President to Discuss Economic Cooperation

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik granted an audience today to Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, at Al Barakah Palace.

The meeting delved into a range of economic and developmental topics, emphasizing avenues of cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the World Bank Group. Discussions highlighted Oman’s recent economic advancements and explored strategies to enhance collaboration with the World Bank, particularly in exchanging expertise, fostering knowledge-sharing, and strengthening the capabilities of Omani professionals.

His Majesty and Ajay Banga also reviewed initiatives to expand the World Bank Group’s role and contributions within the region. The discussions underscored the importance of aligning efforts to promote sustainable development and mutual growth.

The audience was attended by Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Finance.
