Sultan of Oman to Preside Over Military Parade for Oman’s 54th National Day

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: On Monday, 18 November 2024, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), will preside over the grand military parade at Al Sumoud Ground of the Sultan’s Special Force (SSF), commemorating the 54th Glorious National Day of the Sultanate of Oman.

The parade will feature symbolic units from across Oman’s military and security services, including the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO), the Sultan’s Special Force (SSF), the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the Royal Court Affairs (RCA), and a joint military musical band, showcasing the strength and unity of Oman’s armed forces.

Alongside His Majesty, the event will be attended by a distinguished audience, including members of the Royal Family, ministers, chairmen of the State Council and Shura Council, and various high-ranking officials from the Sultan’s Armed Forces and security services. Notable guests will include ambassadors from Arab and foreign countries accredited to Oman, senior military officers, retired commanders, as well as diplomats, judges, and dignitaries from across the Sultanate.

The parade, a significant part of Oman’s National Day celebrations, serves as a symbol of the country’s pride, military prowess, and the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik. It also highlights Oman’s commitment to the continued development of its defense and security capabilities, reinforcing the nation’s dedication to peace and stability both regionally and globally.
