Sultan Qaboos University and Peking University Explore Academic and Health Collaboration

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and Peking University engaged in discussions on Tuesday to explore avenues of cooperation and exchange of expertise in the academic and health sectors, emphasizing collaboration in research and education.
The meeting served as an opportunity for both institutions to familiarize themselves with the health services and medical facilities offered by each university. Additionally, discussions were held to outline potential areas of future collaboration, fostering a partnership that spans various academic disciplines.
Her Highness Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation, led the SQU delegation, while Dr. Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of Peking University and Chairperson of Beijing Centre for Health Sciences, represented Peking University. The meeting also saw the participation of a delegation from Beijing University, accompanied by academics and officials from Sultan Qaboos University and health establishments in the Sultanate of Oman.
Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said highlighted SQU’s commitment to enhancing international partnerships, emphasizing the university’s dedication to the development of knowledge, research, and education. The discussions underscored the mutual interest of both institutions in strengthening collaborative efforts for the advancement of academic and healthcare initiatives.
