Tashkent Hosts Pivotal International Conference on Uzbekistan-China Collaboration
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Tashkent welcomed the prestigious International Conference, titled “Uzbekistan and China: Advancing Mutually Beneficial Cooperation for the Peoples of Both Countries.” The conference, initiated by Javlon Vakhabov, Director of the International Institute for Central Asia, and Yu Jun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Uzbekistan, brought together key stakeholders to discuss and strengthen the ties between the two nations.
The primary objective of the conference was to delve into the outcomes of the state visit by Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to China from January 23 to 25. The extensive negotiations during this visit with President Xi Jinping resulted in the signing of a historic Joint Statement. The statement officially declared the establishment of an “all-weather, all-round strategic partnership in a new era,” laying a robust foundation for taking bilateral relations to unprecedented heights.
The conference featured insightful addresses by the event’s initiators, highlighting the significance of the strengthened partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
