Tehran and Moscow Pledge to Deepen Strategic Partnership
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Aref reaffirmed Tehran and Moscow’s strong determination to elevate bilateral relations to their highest potential during a meeting with Russian Minister of Energy Sergei Tsivilev in Tehran on Wednesday.
Highlighting the extensive capacities for collaboration, Vice-President Aref emphasized the importance of enhancing trade exchanges and implementing existing agreements to strengthen cooperation. He noted that the ongoing consultations reflect the steadfast commitment of both nations to fostering ties, particularly amid current global and regional dynamics.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran places great importance on all-encompassing and long-term cooperation with Russia,” Aref stated, underscoring the strategic nature of the partnership.
Echoing these sentiments, Minister Tsivilev pointed to numerous areas ripe for expanded collaboration between the two countries. He emphasized the significance of senior-level exchanges in facilitating deeper relations and highlighted the role of the Moscow-Tehran Economic Committee, which he chairs on Russia’s behalf, in streamlining cooperation efforts.
Tsivilev’s visit to Tehran, which began on Tuesday, marks a continuation of high-level engagements aimed at bolstering economic and strategic partnerships between Iran and Russia.
