Tehran Secures $2 Billion in International Tech Agreements at INOTEX 2025

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Six international agreements valued at a combined $2 billion were signed on the sidelines of INOTEX 2025, according to Mehdi Saffarinia, Head of Pardis Technology Park. The event, which spanned four days, has become a major platform for promoting technological cooperation and innovation on a global scale.

Speaking at the conclusion of the exhibition, Saffarinia highlighted the park’s strategic focus on fostering globally competitive products and facilitating private sector investment. He noted that Pardis Technology Park has already attracted $3.5 million in private funding for its innovation-driven ventures.

One of the key milestones of the event was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and Russia in the field of advanced technologies. The agreement paves the way for the establishment of two joint zones aimed at enhancing technological and trade development between the two countries.

The MoU outlines cooperation in several high-tech sectors, including nanotechnology, biotechnology, health, information and communication technology (ICT), artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and oil and gas. It also includes provisions for joint research initiatives and knowledge exchange.

In a high-level meeting held during INOTEX 2025, Russian Presidential Aide Andrei Fursenko met with Saffarinia and Hossein Roozbeh, Head of the Organization for Development of International Science and Technology Cooperation (ODISTC). The three officials underscored the need to intensify collaboration on emerging technologies and innovation ecosystems.

Saffarinia proposed that Russian companies establish offices within Pardis Technology Park, further enhancing bilateral technological cooperation. He also revealed that discussions are underway regarding the opening of branches of Russian universities in Iran as part of broader scientific and academic collaboration.

The outcomes of INOTEX 2025 reaffirm Iran’s growing role in fostering international partnerships in science and technology, while positioning Pardis Technology Park as a key hub for innovation in the region.
