Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the UAE and the Korean Cultural Centre are proud to announce the return of the 8th Korean Film Festival to Abu Dhabi and Dubai this July. Marking the first Korean film festival in Dubai since 2017, this event offers film enthusiasts a chance to experience a diverse selection of Korean films at VOX Cinemas, Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi, from July 4th to 7th, and at VOX Cinemas, Dubai Festival City Mall, from July 12th to 14th.

Under the theme “freedom,” this year’s festival will explore a wide range of genres and time periods, presenting something for every taste. Attendees can look forward to a lineup that includes fantasy, comedy, historical drama, mystery, musicals, and independent films.

Historical films such as “Road to Boston,” “Noryang, Deadly Sea,” and “Hero” will bring to life the Korean people’s pursuit of freedom. Contemporary films like “Dream Palace,” “Love Reset,” and “Sleep” will delve into modern societal challenges and resilience. For children, “Pororo Movie: Dragon Castle Adventure” promises laughter, while “Alienoid Part 2: The Return to the Future” will captivate adults with its fantasy thrills.

Korean cinema has earned significant recognition and admiration among UAE audiences, making this festival an ideal gathering for local fans to enjoy cinematic gems during the summer.
