Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev engaged in a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, according to media reports. The call, initiated by the Pakistani side, provided an opportunity for both leaders to exchange congratulations on the occasion of Qurban Ait (Eid al-Adha).

During their discussion, President Tokayev and Prime Minister Sharif identified promising areas for bilateral cooperation between their countries. President Tokayev highlighted the significant potential for economic collaboration, which could serve as a driving force for the multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

Additionally, the conversation covered issues of interaction between Kazakhstan and Pakistan within international organizations, with particular emphasis on the agenda for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Astana.

The leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation on regional and international platforms.
