Türkiye Condemns Israeli Attack on Gaza School as Massacre
Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye has strongly condemned the recent Israeli military assault on the Tabaeen School in central Gaza, which was sheltering displaced Palestinians. The attack, which occurred on Saturday, resulted in the deaths of more than 100 civilians.
In a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the Israeli action was described as a “new crime against humanity.” The ministry condemned the attack on the school, located in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, and criticized the Israeli government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for what it termed as a deliberate effort to undermine ceasefire negotiations.
The statement further accused international actors who fail to act against Israel’s actions of complicity in these crimes. According to the director of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Israeli aircraft targeted the Tabaeen School with three massive bombs, each weighing over 900 kg. The assault resulted in immediate fatalities and left many others with severe injuries, including amputations.
Türkiye’s condemnation highlights the escalating tensions and calls for a robust international response to address the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
