Türkiye Expresses Deep Concern Over Escalating Humanitarian Crisis in Sudan

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye has voiced profound concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Sudan, particularly condemning the surge in violence against civilians in Al Jazirah state. In an official statement released on Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry highlighted the urgent need for an end to the hostilities.

“We are deeply concerned about the humanitarian situation in Sudan and the attacks against civilians in Al Jazirah state in violation of humanitarian law,” the ministry stated, calling for an immediate ceasefire to facilitate peace and stability in the region.

The statement also emphasized the importance of ensuring the safe return of displaced persons and enabling the continuous delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need. Türkiye reiterated its unwavering support for Sudan’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and unity.

In line with its commitment to support Sudan, Ankara pledged continued humanitarian aid to “alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people,” underscoring Türkiye’s dedication to helping address the crisis and support the Sudanese population during this challenging period.
