Türkiye Offers to Support Two-State Solution as Guarantor in Israel-Palestine Conflict

Türkiye Offers to Support Two-State Solution as Guarantor in Israel-Palestine Conflict

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye is prepared to be part of a guarantor mechanism to help resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict if a two-state solution agreement is reached, stated Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday. He emphasized the urgent need for the implementation of the two-state solution to prevent further conflict.

Fidan warned that without immediate action towards this solution, the region faces the inevitability of a fourth Gaza war. “We will be perpetually entangled in conflicts,” he asserted, noting that a ceasefire in Palestine “doesn’t align” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political objectives, suggesting he has other agendas.

As the conflict continues, Israel’s war on Gaza has entered its 292nd day, resulting in the deaths of at least 39,145 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. Additionally, 90,257 individuals have been wounded, and more than 10,000 people are believed to be trapped under debris.

Minister Fidan’s remarks highlight Türkiye’s commitment to supporting a peaceful resolution and underscore the critical need for international cooperation to achieve stability in the region.
