Türkiye Pledges Continued Support for Venezuela’s Dialogue Process: Erdogan

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to supporting the dialogue process in Venezuela during a phone call with President Nicolas Maduro. The conversation, held on Wednesday, encompassed a wide range of topics including the state of bilateral relations and broader regional and global issues.
In the discussion, President Erdogan expressed his well-wishes for Venezuela, hoping for peace, prosperity, and well-being for its people. He also conveyed his gratitude for Venezuela’s support for Palestine amid ongoing conflicts.
Venezuela is a key trade partner for Türkiye in the Latin American region. Bilateral trade has seen significant growth, increasing from $150 million in 2019 to $850 million in 2021. Both nations are aiming to expand this trade volume to $3 billion.
The relationship between Türkiye and Venezuela has been productive and continues to improve across various sectors. Both countries see substantial potential for collaboration in areas such as the economy, trade, mining, energy, agriculture, and tourism.
