Türkiye’s Albayrak Group distributed 4,000 tents to flood-stricken Pakistan. As Albayrak Group, we will always continue to stand by the people of Pakistan. We will continue to provide the necessary support as needed, said Albayrak Group Director Cemil Şenocak. The tents were dispatched in coordination with Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

The first batch of tents was dispatched to the city of Dadu in Sindh Province, where the flooding was particularly severe, in order to set up a tent city. We’re cooperating with NDMA, and we’re trying to reach those in need with their guidance. They will ensure that the remaining tents are set up in the most suitable places as soon as possible,” added Şenocak.

It is worth mentioning  that one-third of the country is under water as the massive rains and melting glaciers have caused the country’s main Indus River to overflow, inundating vast swaths of plains, and farms.

Destructive rains and floods have also washed away 12,718 kilometers (7,902 miles) of roads, 390 bridges
and buildings across the  country.
