Tirana, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, expressed grave concerns about the deteriorating situation in Palestine’s Gaza, warning of an imminent major disaster as humanitarian aid and medical supplies are being denied entry. Fidan, in a joint press conference with Albanian counterpart Igli Hasani in Tirana on Monday, emphasized the urgent need for international intervention to prevent starvation and disease outbreaks among the two million people held hostage in Gaza.

Fidan stated, “Humanitarian aid and medical supplies not permitted to enter Gaza are currently indicative of a major disaster inside.” He further highlighted the dire circumstances faced by Palestinians, stating, “Having witnessed the loss of thousands of lives, we are now confronted with the dire situation of Palestinians held hostage, grappling with the imminent threat of hunger and disease.”

The Foreign Minister urged the international community to take preventive measures through various means to address the looming humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He stressed the urgency of avoiding hunger and epidemic diseases that could pose a severe threat to the 2 million people currently held hostage in the region.

Fidan concluded by pointing out the ongoing loss of innocent lives and emphasized the need for swift international action to avert further tragedy. The situation in Gaza continues to be a matter of deep concern, with calls for concerted efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian population.
