Turkmen, Bahraini Foreign Ministers Hold Talks on Bilateral Cooperation and Peace Forum

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A telephone conversation took place on October 23, 2025, between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

During the discussion, both sides reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Bahrain, noting the high level of political and diplomatic interaction that characterizes relations between the two countries.

The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening multifaceted cooperation, particularly within the framework of international organizations, with special emphasis on the United Nations. They underscored the importance of maintaining active dialogue and mutual support on issues of shared interest in regional and global affairs.

The conversation also addressed preparations for the upcoming International Forum for Peace and Trust, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025. The event will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and the International Day of Neutrality.

Both sides expressed their readiness to continue close coordination in ensuring the successful organization of the forum, which aims to promote dialogue, understanding, and cooperation in support of global peace and stability.
