Turkmen Foreign Ministry Awards Diplomatic Service Staff with State Medals

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On September 20, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a solemn ceremony to award staff members of the national diplomatic service with the medal “For Love of the Motherland.”
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the events taking place in Turkmenistan ahead of the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence.
Special attention was drawn to the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan, held a day earlier in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The council’s agenda focused on pressing issues of state life as well as the socio-economic development of the capital and regions.
Emphasizing Turkmenistan’s active role in global affairs, Meredov underlined the importance of implementing the nation’s foreign policy objectives, particularly those outlined in the Priority Positions of Turkmenistan at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the ceremony, Meredov read out the presidential decree on conferring state awards in honor of the country’s upcoming Independence Day and formally presented the medals “For Love of the Motherland” to the distinguished employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
