Turkmen National Leader Meets Monaco Adviser to Bolster Bilateral and Cultural Ties

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held an official meeting with Joel Bouzou, Adviser to Prince Albert II of Monaco and President and Founder of the international organization Peace and Sport, according to News Hub Consultants.
During their discussion, Bouzou conveyed warm greetings from Prince Albert II and Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, highlighting the Principality’s deep appreciation for Turkmenistan’s peace-oriented foreign policy, anchored in its internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality.
The meeting also recognized Turkmenistan’s cultural diplomacy efforts, notably the outstanding performance of the Galkynysh National Equestrian Games Group at the 47th International Festival of Circus Arts held in Monte Carlo in January 2025. The group’s artistic showcase was praised as a symbol of cultural excellence and people-to-people exchange.
Both sides underscored the significance of enhancing bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect and equality, reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation across a wide array of fields, including:
- Political dialogue and diplomacy,
- Trade and economic collaboration,
- Cultural and humanitarian engagement,
- Sports diplomacy and peace-building initiatives.
The conversation reflected a shared vision of leveraging sports and culture as bridges for international harmony, in line with the values promoted by Peace and Sport and Turkmenistan’s commitment to peace, neutrality, and international cooperation.
