Turkmen President receives Executive Director of US-Turkmenistan Business Council
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the US-Turkmenistan Business Council, in Ashgabat on Tuesday, the official press of Turkmenistan reports.
Eric Stewart expressed his sincere appreciation to the Turkmen leader for discussing the important areas of bilateral cooperation. He reiterated the eagerness of the American business community to establish productive relations with Turkmenistan, emphasising the country’s vast economic potential and its implementation of large-scale projects in various sectors.
The Turkmen leader conveyed his sincere wishes for the success of the 10th joint business conference in Ashgabat and expressed confidence that it would contribute to strengthening the Turkmen-American investment cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides highlighted the dynamic nature of bilateral cooperation, which consistently develops on the principles of equality, mutual respect and benefit. At the same time, the sides reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s and the United States’ willingness to expand a multifaceted partnership on a long-term basis.
Thanking Eric Stewart for his influential work in developing Turkmen-American business relations and strengthening intergovernmental dialogue, the Turkmen leader said that Turkmenistan supports strengthening positive ties with US companies and expressed willingness to consider specific proposals of the Business Council.
During the meeting, representing US business circles, Eric Stewart reiterated their strong interest in consolidating their presence within the promising Turkmen market. He emphasised that Turkmenistan has successfully established a favourable investment climate, further enhancing American companies’ market attractiveness.
At the end of the meeting, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Executive Director of the US-Turkmenistan Business Council expressed confidence that the Turkmen-US economic partnership, based on the many years of positive experience, will continue to develop dynamically on a long-term favourable basis.
The US-Turkmenistan Business Forum kicked off its proceedings on Tuesday at the prestigious Ýyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat and will last until December 7, 2023.
