Turkmenistan and Bahrain Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On September 16, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Talal Abdulsalam Al-Ansari.
Discussions focused on the current state and prospects for strengthening Turkmen-Bahraini cooperation across political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
Both sides underlined the significance of reciprocal visits at the highest level, as well as regular contacts on the sidelines of major international platforms. They also noted the positive experience of joint work within international organizations, particularly the United Nations.
The importance of enhancing inter-parliamentary ties and deepening institutional cooperation between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Bahrain was highlighted during the talks.
The meeting further addressed the improvement of the bilateral legal framework for cooperation and explored practical steps to advance agreements previously reached between the two countries.
