Turkmenistan and China Sign Agreement on Technical and Economic Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On August 25, 2025, the signing ceremony of the Agreement on Technical and Economic Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The document was signed by Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shumin.
The agreement is designed to strengthen collaboration in economic, scientific, technical, and infrastructure fields. It envisages the exchange of accumulated positive experience, the practical implementation of advanced innovative solutions in key sectors of the economy, and the promotion of deeper bilateral partnership.
This development underscores the growing strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and China, aimed at fostering sustainable growth and innovation.
