Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka Hold Inter-Ministry Political Consultations
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs political consultations between Turkmenistan and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka were conducted via videoconference, according to a press release from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry. The discussions focused on the current state of bilateral relations across various sectors and outlined priorities for future collaboration.
Diplomats from both countries acknowledged the significant potential for deepening cooperation in key areas such as the oil and gas and chemical industries, transport logistics, textiles, tourism, and education. Additionally, the prospects for exchanging visits at various levels and intensifying inter-parliamentary relations were explored.
Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing the legal framework governing the bilateral partnership. Participants highlighted the importance of regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, establishing close contacts between the chambers of commerce and industry of both nations, and organizing business forums involving business communities from Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka to strengthen economic ties.
These consultations underscore the commitment of both countries to fostering a robust and multifaceted partnership, aimed at mutual growth and development.
