Turkmenistan and the Philippines Hold Bilateral Talks to Strengthen Multisectoral Cooperation on LLDC3 Sidelines

Avaza, The Gulf Observer: On the margins of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), a bilateral meeting was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines for Multilateral Affairs and International Economic Relations Charles Jose.

During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on key areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Philippines, including the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The diplomats highlighted the positive outcomes of the Turkmen delegation’s visit to the Philippines in 2024, and underscored the importance of maintaining the regular practice of political consultations between the two foreign ministries to further advance bilateral ties.

The two sides also discussed prospects for expanding the contractual and legal framework of cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to institutionalizing mutual efforts across various sectors.

Special attention was given to Turkmenistan’s role in fostering international cooperation, with the Philippine side commending the high organizational level and success of the ongoing LLDC3 Conference hosted in Turkmenistan.

Both parties expressed their mutual interest in continuing constructive dialogue and cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
