Turkmenistan and Türkiye Boost Parliamentary and Economic Ties in High-Level Meeting
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Members of the Turkmenistan-Türkiye interparliamentary friendship group held a significant meeting with Mahmut Er, Chairman of the Council of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Türkiye, according to a report by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
In the discussions, Turkmen representatives shared insights into Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policy directions, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to neutrality, and outlined recent legislative initiatives led by the Turkmen Parliament. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the active growth of Turkmen-Turkish relations, grounded in mutual support, understanding, and enduring friendship.
The meeting highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation across multiple sectors, with special focus on trade, economic investment, banking, energy, transportation, logistics, industry, urban development, agriculture, and sports. Both parties reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening these areas of mutual interest, which contribute to the dynamic partnership between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.
