Turkmenistan Celebrates Harvest Festival

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The Center of Public Organizations in Ashgabat hosted a vibrant celebration for Turkmenistan’s Harvest Festival, where the nation’s top agricultural workers were recognized for their contributions. Organized by the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan with support from the Agrarian Party and the Women’s Union, the event honored those excelling in agricultural production and trade union activities.

The foyer showcased a thematic exhibition of the season’s harvest, displaying an array of fresh vegetables, melons, legumes, and products from the food and light industry sectors, reflecting the success of Turkmenistan’s agricultural output. Adding to the festive spirit, local artists performed for attendees.

During the event, officials presented reports on the achievements within the agricultural sector, highlighting Turkmenistan’s commitment to advancing its agro-industrial capabilities. On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, Certificates of Honor and valuable gifts were awarded to leading workers in the agro-industrial sector.

Among the honorees were Ilmurad Abdylov from the Parahat peasant association in the Ahal velayat, Shirli Orazov, a machine operator from the Mary velayat division, Bakhargul Gurbanova, a sericulturist from the Mürzebegalla association in the Lebap velayat, and Annaguly Annagulyyev from the Arkaç association in the Balkan velayat. Additionally, Annamyrat Bekiyev from the Magtymguly association in the Dashoguz velayat, Oguljemal Jitdanova, a seasoned baker at Aşgabatçörek, and Kurban Novruzov, head of the Research Institute’s cotton-growing department in Yolotan etrap, were recognized for their dedication and contributions to Turkmenistan’s agricultural excellence.

This celebration underscores Turkmenistan’s commitment to supporting and acknowledging the efforts of its agricultural workforce, key to the nation’s sustainable development and food security.
