Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2025 Opens in Avaza with Global Participation

Avaza, The Gulf Observer: The Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) officially opened on September 18 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, bringing together more than 800 foreign and domestic delegates to explore the country’s investment potential.

The event commenced with a plenary session titled “Turkmenistan’s Investment Attractiveness as a Factor of Strategic Effectiveness”, moderated by Dmitry Shlapachenko, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan.

Keynote speeches were delivered by leading international figures, including Beatriz Luz Macer Mallor, Executive Director of the World Bank, and Rabab Fatima, UN Deputy Secretary-General, who addressed the gathering online.

Turkmenistan’s Minister of Finance and Economy, Mammetguly Astanagulov, presented the government’s long-term strategy for attracting foreign investment and ensuring sustainable economic growth. Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov also addressed the plenary, highlighting Turkmenistan’s reliability as an international business partner. He emphasized that the nation’s investment appeal is closely tied to its development strategy and foreign policy priorities.

Speaking via video link, UN Deputy Secretary-General Rabab Fatima commended Turkmenistan’s leadership in championing the interests of landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) and outlined new UN initiatives designed to encourage global investment flows.

The forum will continue with thematic sessions over the next two days, focusing on priority sectors of the Turkmen economy.

TIF 2025 is jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
