Turkmenistan Sends Humanitarian Aid to Iranian Children During Holy Month of Ramadan

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan has dispatched humanitarian assistance to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly children, during the holy month of Ramadan, through the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The humanitarian aid, sent in accordance with a decree issued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, includes medicines, medical supplies and other essential items intended to support children in Iran. The initiative reflects Turkmenistan’s continued commitment to strengthening friendly and neighborly relations with the Iranian people.
Officials noted that the decision demonstrates the successful implementation of initiatives promoted by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, aimed at enhancing cooperation and humanitarian engagement with neighboring countries.
Participants at the ceremony marking the dispatch of the humanitarian shipment highlighted that extending support to neighboring nations in times of need is a long-standing and noble tradition of the Turkmen people, deeply rooted in the country’s history and cultural values.
They emphasized that these humanitarian principles continue to be upheld and strengthened in the modern era through the leadership’s efforts to promote compassion, solidarity and regional cooperation.
During the ceremony, elders offered prayers to the Almighty for the safe journey of the humanitarian convoy and the successful delivery of the aid to the friendly Iranian people.
Following the departure of the humanitarian shipment, members of the Council of Elders under the charity fund, along with representatives of the clergy, visited the construction site of a 30,000-seat mosque currently being built in the city of Arkadag. The delegation reviewed the progress of construction work and examined the interior design and finishing materials being used in the development of the major spiritual landmark.
