Turkmenistan's FM Meets with Pakistani President to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On July 23, 2024, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov, began their official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. As part of this visit, the delegation met with the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari.

During the meeting, President Zardari extended his respect and gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He acknowledged their personal contributions to fostering friendship and fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.

The conversation then covered a broad spectrum of issues, focusing on enhancing cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. Both parties expressed their commitment to further strengthening the ties between the two nations, building on the foundation of mutual respect and shared interests.

This visit underscores the ongoing efforts by Turkmenistan and Pakistan to deepen their bilateral relations and explore new avenues for collaboration across various sectors.
