Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Meets Qatari Ambassador Concluding Diplomatic Mission

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with H.E. Hamad bin Rashid bin Hamad Al-Azbi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country.
At the outset of the meeting, Ambassador Al-Azbi expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the unwavering support extended during his tenure, as well as for the creation of favorable conditions that enabled the successful fulfillment of his diplomatic responsibilities.
During the discussions, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further developing bilateral relations across political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian domains. They emphasized the importance of organizing high-level and top-tier visits, as well as the need to continue enhancing the legal and regulatory framework governing bilateral cooperation.
The meeting highlighted the intention to maintain positive collaboration and mutual support within international organizations, primarily the United Nations. Both parties also expressed interest in expanding trade and economic ties. In this context, the role of the Turkmen-Qatari Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was underscored, with preparations for its next session being coordinated at the intergovernmental level.
Additionally, the diplomats confirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening cultural and humanitarian connections.
In conclusion, the Turkmen side expressed appreciation to Ambassador Al-Azbi for his personal contribution to the development of Turkmen-Qatari relations and wished him success in his future endeavors.
