Turkmenistan’s National Leader Discusses Golf Club Project in Avaza with Nicklaus Companies CEO

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met on Thursday in Ashgabat with John Reese, Chief Executive Officer of Nicklaus Companies, to discuss prospects for cooperation in the development of golf infrastructure, including a potential project in the Avaza tourist zone.
During the meeting, Berdimuhamedov noted that the extensive international experience of Nicklaus Companies could be effectively applied to the implementation of a golf club project in Avaza. He said such an initiative would represent another important step in advancing the resort area as a center for recreation and sports, according to the Watan habarlary news program.
The talks highlighted the strong international reputation of Nicklaus Companies and its leading position in the design and development of modern golf facilities worldwide. As an example of successful cooperation, the two sides referred to the existing golf club in Ashgabat, which meets international standards and reflects the effective partnership between Turkmenistan and the company.
For his part, John Reese emphasized the significant attention paid to sports development in Turkmenistan and reaffirmed Nicklaus Companies’ readiness to continue cooperation on future projects.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of best wishes for continued success and further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation.
