U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright Visits Aramco Headquarters in Dhahran

Dhahran, The Gulf Observer: United States Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, accompanied by an official delegation and Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, paid a visit to the headquarters of Saudi Aramco in Dhahran as part of his official visit to the Kingdom.

Upon arrival, the delegation was received by Aramco President and CEO Eng. Amin Al-Nasser, along with senior company officials.

The visit included detailed briefings on Aramco’s technological advancements and innovation programs. Secretary Wright toured several key research and development hubs, including the Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center (EXPEC), the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center, and the Accelerated Innovation Lab. These visits showcased Aramco’s efforts to drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in the energy sector.

Discussions also focused on the company’s contributions to enhancing the security and efficiency of global energy supplies. Aramco presented its strategies for maintaining reliable and stable energy markets amid evolving global challenges.

As part of the itinerary, both delegations conducted a field visit to the Shaybah oil field, located in the Rub’ al Khali (Empty Quarter). During the visit, they were briefed on the site’s production operations and administrative infrastructure.

The tour concluded with a visit to the Shaybah Reserve Visitor Center, where Aramco highlighted its ongoing environmental initiatives aimed at preserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable practices in the region.

The visit underscored the strategic energy partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed the mutual commitment to fostering innovation, energy security, and environmental stewardship.
