UAE and Canada Explore Enhanced Industrial and Economic Cooperation

Ottawa, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, held a high-level meeting with Mélanie Joly, Canada’s Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, as part of his working visit to Canada.
During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed the deep-rooted friendship between the UAE and Canada and explored frameworks to expand bilateral cooperation across strategic sectors. Discussions focused on enhancing joint efforts to promote mutual interests and advance the prosperity and well-being of both nations.
Key areas of discussion included strengthening collaboration in industry, trade, investment, technology, and renewable energy. His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the significance of deepening industrial cooperation, underscoring the abundance of opportunities aligned with the shared goals of sustainable economic development.
The meeting also underscored the importance of leveraging the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and Canada to further enhance economic integration and technological innovation.
The discussions were attended by several senior UAE officials, including H.E. Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; H.E. Sultan Al Mansoori, Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and H.E. Abdulrahman Ali Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Canada.
The meeting reflects the ongoing commitment of both countries to fostering strategic partnerships that support long-term development and global cooperation.
