UAE and Egypt Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Security and Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, received Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, for talks focused on regional developments and bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the repercussions of the Iranian missile attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and several other countries in the region. The discussions addressed the growing security concerns in the Middle East and the broader implications of these developments.

Dr. Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s full support and solidarity with the UAE, emphasizing Cairo’s backing for all measures taken by the Emirati leadership to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors.

The ministers also stressed the importance of prioritizing diplomatic solutions and dialogue to address ongoing regional challenges and resolve outstanding issues in a manner that contributes to preserving regional security and stability.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed Dr. Abdelatty’s visit, noting that it reflects the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt. He also highlighted Egypt’s solidarity with the UAE following the recent missile attacks.

Both sides reviewed the longstanding partnership between the two countries and explored ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, in line with the shared interests of both nations and the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also emphasized the strength and depth of the fraternal ties between the UAE and Egypt, noting the continued growth of relations under the guidance and support of the leaderships of the two brotherly nations.

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, UAE Minister of State, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of State.
