UAE and Qatari FMs Meet at Gaza Humanitarian Response Conference
Amman, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, on the sidelines of the “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” conference held today in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The high-level meeting focused on the outcomes of the conference and the concerted efforts by the international community to establish a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza. Both diplomats emphasized the importance of protecting civilians and enhancing the humanitarian response for those affected in the Gaza Strip.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed praised Qatar’s ongoing mediation efforts, along with those of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America, to achieve a lasting ceasefire. He reiterated the UAE’s support for all initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and addressing the root causes of extremism, tension, and escalating violence in the region.
Additionally, the ministers discussed the strong fraternal relations between the UAE and Qatar, exploring ways to expand bilateral cooperation across various fields. They highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to support the development and prosperity of both nations and their peoples.
This meeting underscores the commitment of both the UAE and Qatar to regional stability and humanitarian efforts, reinforcing their roles as key players in the pursuit of peace and development in the Middle East.
