UAE and Sweden Strengthen Bilateral Ties with Strategic Cooperation Agreements

Stockholm, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met with Benjamin Dousa, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Sweden, during an official visit to Stockholm today.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Sweden, exploring opportunities for collaboration in diverse sectors such as economy, trade, and investment. Both sides discussed expanding cooperation to serve the mutual interests of their nations while building on the strong existing ties.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Sweden to support shared aspirations for development and prosperity.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister Dousa witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Swedish Trade and Investment Council. This agreement aims to foster investment and business opportunities between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Maha Bouzeid, Vice President of the Swedish Trade and Invest Council.
The meeting was attended by prominent UAE officials, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Ghasaq Yousif Abdullah Shaheen, UAE Ambassador to Sweden; Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister for Advanced Science and Technology; and Omar Saif Ghobash, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and UAE Non-resident Ambassador to the Vatican.
