UAE, Egypt Leaders Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Developments in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in Abu Dhabi today.

The talks reviewed the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and explored avenues for enhancing cooperation across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on priority areas that support the development goals of both nations. The meeting took place during President El-Sisi’s fraternal visit to the UAE.

The two leaders also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, including developments in the Middle East. They emphasized the importance of advancing the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the unhindered entry of sufficient humanitarian aid to ease the suffering of civilians.

Both sides stressed the need to make tangible progress toward a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, in a way that contributes to regional security and stability. They reaffirmed their commitment to continued consultation and close coordination in support of peace and stability in the region, as well as efforts to advance development and prosperity for their peoples.

As part of his visit, President El-Sisi toured the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Egyptian President was briefed on the university’s facilities, academic programs, and progress in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, which align with the UAE’s long-term development vision.

At the conclusion of his visit, President El-Sisi departed from the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, where he was bid farewell by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The meeting and farewell were attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamdan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; as well as a number of sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
