UAE Participates in BRICS Chief Justices Forum

Sochi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) actively participated in the BRICS Chief Justices Forum, which was chaired by the Russian Federation. The forum witnessed the presence of delegations from numerous member states.
The UAE delegation was led by Mohammed Hamad Al Badi, President of the Federal Supreme Court, and included Judge Shihab Abdul Rahman Al-Hammadi, Judge Ibrahim Obaid Ali Al Ali, and Nasser Saeed Nasser Al Shebli.
In his opening address, President Al Badi emphasized the critical importance of strengthening global governance. He articulated that for the international community to effectively share development opportunities and tackle global challenges, the establishment and maintenance of international rules, as outlined in the Charter of the United Nations, are paramount.
President Al Badi also underscored the significance of creating a secure investment environment as a cornerstone for achieving sustainable economic development. He highlighted the judiciary’s essential role in safeguarding investors’ rights, promoting investment, and fostering a stable and reliable business climate.
Furthermore, President Al Badi presented an overview of the UAE’s robust legal framework. He detailed the Constitution and applicable laws that ensure the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms during criminal proceedings, aligning with international standards.
The forum provided a platform for the UAE to share its advancements in legal and judicial reforms, reinforcing its commitment to upholding the rule of law and promoting global cooperation.
