UAE Participates in Second Arab Ministers Meeting on Disaster Risk Reduction in Cairo

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates actively participated in the second meeting of Arab Ministers on Disaster Risk Reduction, held recently at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo.

The UAE delegation, led by Ali Rashid Al Neyadi, Director-General of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), included representatives from various government agencies committed to enhancing regional disaster preparedness and response.

During the opening session, Al Neyadi emphasized the significance of the meeting as a crucial platform for bolstering Arab cooperation and harmonizing efforts to address crises and disasters across the region. He highlighted the UAE’s pride in contributing to the development of the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction during the 4th meeting, underscoring the nation’s commitment to collaborative action in disaster preparedness.

Al Neyadi further elaborated on the UAE’s achievements in disaster risk reduction, presenting them as tangible evidence of the country’s dedication to the goals outlined in the Arab Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction. The UAE’s proactive approach and ongoing contributions demonstrate its leadership and resolve in fostering a safer and more resilient Arab region.
