UAE Pavilion Wins Best Pavilion Award at International Date Fair in Morocco
Erfoud, The Gulf Observer: UAE has been awarded the prestigious Best Pavilion Award at the 13th edition of the International Date Fair, SIDATTES, held in the city of Erfoud. The event, which continues until November 3rd, brings together leading date producers and agricultural innovators from around the world.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, dedicated the UAE’s first-place win to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. He praised Sheikh Mansour’s unwavering support for the date palm cultivation and production sector at national, regional, and international levels.
Dr. Abdul Wahab Zayed, Secretary General of the Khalifa International Award, highlighted the standout features of the UAE pavilion. “The pavilion showcased a diverse range of premium dates and innovative solutions for advancing the date industry,” he noted. He also emphasized the display of modern agricultural technologies that boost palm productivity while ensuring the high quality of Emirati dates.
The pavilion featured interactive presentations and workshops that underscored sustainable and innovative practices in palm cultivation. Visitors were also given the opportunity to sample Emirati dates, which received widespread acclaim.
Dr. Zayed reiterated the UAE’s leadership role in the global date market and its commitment to fostering international cooperation with date-producing countries. By exchanging expertise and promoting sustainability, the UAE aims to ensure the continued growth and development of the date sector for future generations.
