UAE President Affirms Support for Family Stability as Key Pillar of National Development
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’ unwavering commitment to promoting family stability and cohesion, describing the family as the bedrock of a strong and resilient society.
His Highness made these remarks during a ceremony at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi to honour institutions awarded the ‘Parent-Friendly Label’ by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), as part of the programme’s third cycle. The event also included a reception for members of the judging panel and ECA employees.
In his address, President Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the family’s crucial role in instilling core values and nurturing future generations who are proud of their national identity and capable of contributing to the UAE’s ongoing development and progress.
His Highness congratulated the winning institutions and emphasized the importance of enhancing organisational awareness about the benefits of parent-friendly workplace environments. Such initiatives, he said, are essential to fostering a positive institutional culture that enables parents to balance their professional responsibilities with family obligations. This approach, he noted, empowers parents to succeed in their careers while fulfilling their vital roles within the family unit.
Sheikh Mohamed was also briefed on the objectives of the ‘Parent-Friendly Label’ programme and the outcomes of its current cycle. He expressed appreciation for the high level of engagement and commitment demonstrated by participating institutions in supporting family-oriented policies.
