UAE President and Bahrain’s King Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Manama, In a meeting held in Manama, Bahrain, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain engaged in discussions on the deep-rooted fraternal ties between their nations and the collaborative efforts across various sectors to achieve shared goals of progress and development. The leaders addressed several matters of mutual concern during this high-level meeting.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa warmly welcomed President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his accompanying delegation. The meeting, which took place in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, underscored the strong bonds of kinship, understanding, and shared destiny that unite the leaderships and peoples of both countries.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed offered condolences to His Majesty over the recent martyrdom of Major Abdullah Al Noaimi and other UAE Armed Forces personnel during a terrorist act in Somalia. His Majesty reciprocated, expressing deep condolences for the martyrs of the UAE. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination and consultation for the benefit of their peoples and the broader region.

The meeting emphasized the importance of enhancing joint Gulf action, with both countries pledging support at various levels for the well-being of all citizens in Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Regional and international developments were discussed, and the leaders explored ways to elevate bilateral and multilateral cooperation to address a range of issues and developments.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted the growing strength of fraternal relations between the UAE and Bahrain. He emphasized that the relationship stands as a cornerstone of collective Gulf and Arab initiatives, reflecting aligned perspectives on regional issues.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed pride in the profound and brotherly relationship between Bahrain and the UAE. He commended the high level of cooperation and ongoing collaboration between the two countries, aligning with their shared strategic visions aimed at enhancing regional security and stability.

As a gesture of hospitality, His Majesty hosted a lunch banquet in honor of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by a high-profile delegation accompanying President Sheikh Mohamed, including H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and other key officials.
