UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Holds Talks with US Senators

Washington, D.C., The Gulf Observer: During his official visit to the United States, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a series of meetings with prominent US Senators to discuss opportunities for enhancing UAE-US relations and addressing shared concerns.

In separate discussions with Senator Mark Warner, Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; Senator Markwayne Mullin; Senator Joni Ernst; Senator Tom Cotton; and Senator John Thune, Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the key role the US Congress has played in strengthening bilateral ties. He emphasized the long-standing partnership between the two nations, which has been a cornerstone of UAE foreign policy for over 50 years.

The discussions focused on advancing cooperation in critical areas such as economic growth, trade, investment, climate action, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and sustainability. His Highness stressed that the UAE’s relationship with the US is built on a foundation of trust, mutual respect, and shared interests, reaffirming the US as a key ally.

Sheikh Mohamed underscored the importance of ongoing dialogue with the US on Middle Eastern affairs, recognizing the US’s pivotal role in promoting stability and peace in the region. He reiterated the UAE’s commitment to combat extremism, violence, and terrorism, and its readiness to collaborate with the US in addressing these challenges.

Additionally, His Highness expressed the UAE’s support for US efforts to end the conflict in Gaza, highlighting the crucial role Congress can play in furthering peace initiatives. Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast backing of US initiatives aimed at fostering stability and security in the region.
