UAE President Receives Egyptian Foreign Minister in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed His Excellency Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, His Excellency conveyed the greetings of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, along with his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE. In return, His Highness extended his regards to President El-Sisi, expressing his wishes for Egypt’s continued growth and development.

The two leaders discussed the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt, focusing on various areas of cooperation aimed at advancing their mutual interests. Their discussions highlighted shared aspirations for development and prosperity within the framework of the nations’ strategic partnership, which spans economic, political, developmental, and other key sectors.

The meeting also addressed several regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Both sides emphasized the urgent need to halt the violence and address the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region by ensuring the safe and unobstructed delivery of essential aid to affected residents.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Dr. Badr Abdel Ati reiterated the importance of concerted international efforts to prevent further escalation and mitigate the consequences of additional crises that could threaten regional stability. They reaffirmed their commitment to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, recognizing it as the key to enhancing security and stability in the region.

The two sides also reaffirmed the importance of continuing close consultation and coordination between the UAE and Egypt, stressing the need to bolster joint Arab efforts to effectively address the challenges and crises facing the region.

The meeting was attended by senior Emirati officials, including H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Ali Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs at the Presidential Court.
