UAE President Receives Eid Greetings and Discusses Collaborative Efforts with Bill Gates

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, extending warm Eid Al-Fitr greetings and wishes for ongoing prosperity and progress for the UAE and its people.

During the call, His Highness and Mr. Gates explored ways to strengthen collaborative efforts in combating infectious diseases, particularly highlighting recent substantial advancements in combating polio. They underscored the critical importance of enhancing international efforts to eradicate diseases that impede progress, well-being, and quality of life for vulnerable communities.

The conversation also acknowledged the historic outcomes of the COP28 climate conference hosted by the UAE, resulting in the landmark UAE Consensus, which promotes unified climate action and accelerates global endeavors to mitigate climate change impacts.

Emphasizing the role of modern technology and innovation in sustainable environmental solutions, the discussion centered on preserving natural resources and achieving sustainable development goals.

Addressing the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, His Highness and Mr. Gates discussed the UAE’s significant efforts in facilitating relief and medical aid to alleviate the crisis.
