UAE President Receives Prime Minister of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today received His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is undertaking a working visit to the UAE.

The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where the two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, offering prayers for continued prosperity for their respective nations and for peace and stability across the Muslim world and beyond.

During the discussions, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Sharif reviewed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, with a particular emphasis on economic, investment, and development sectors. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening constructive ties and expanding strategic partnerships in support of mutual interests and national development objectives that seek to enhance the well-being of their peoples.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern, underscoring the importance of supporting international efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability across the region and globally.

Prime Minister Sharif praised the UAE’s pivotal role in advancing global peace and security through its diplomatic engagements and initiatives. He commended His Highness Sheikh Mohamed’s continued efforts to foster dialogue and support diplomatic solutions to global challenges. The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude for the UAE’s ongoing support to Pakistan, particularly in the realm of development and humanitarian initiatives.

  • Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President
  • Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security
  • Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs
  • Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office

The Pakistani delegation accompanying Prime Minister Sharif included a number of ministers and senior officials.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sharif arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, where he was received by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with several senior UAE officials.
