UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Welcomes US President Donald Trump

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: United States President Donald Trump arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday for a state visit to the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant occasion in the longstanding strategic partnership between the two nations.

President Trump and his accompanying delegation were received with full honours by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi.

Also present to welcome the US President were His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office; His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; and His Excellency Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States, along with a number of senior officials.

As President Trump’s aircraft entered UAE airspace, it was ceremonially escorted by a formation of UAE military jets in a symbolic gesture of respect and welcome. The lead pilot of the squadron contacted the incoming aircraft via radio to request permission to accompany it to its final destination and extended warm greetings on behalf of the United Arab Emirates.

President Trump’s visit is expected to include high-level discussions on bilateral relations, regional security, economic cooperation, and global strategic issues, further strengthening the enduring ties between the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
