UAE President visits Tomb of Heydar Aliyev

Baku, The Gulf Observer: As part of his official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid respects to the national leader, Heydar Aliyev, at his tomb, acknowledging him as the founder of modern Azerbaijan.

His Highness laid a wreath at the tomb and later visited the Martyrs’ Lane, where he placed a wreath at the Eternal Flame Memorial in honor of those who sacrificed their lives.

Accompanying President Sheikh Mohamed were His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court. The visit was marked by a warm welcome from Eldar Azizov, Mayor of Baku, and several senior officials.
