UAE President Welcomes Slovenian President Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar, President of Slovenia, during her official visit to the UAE. Their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi highlighted the UAE’s dedication to strengthening bilateral relations with Slovenia, spanning economic, trade, investment, and development cooperation.

President Sheikh Mohamed expressed his optimism for deepening UAE-Slovenia relations, emphasizing shared ambitions in renewable energy, sustainability, and other sectors contributing to mutual growth and prosperity. Both leaders also discussed urgent regional and global issues, reiterating their commitment to peace in the Middle East. They called for an end to hostilities, the prevention of conflict escalation, and the pursuit of a two-state solution as the basis for peace. They underscored the importance of global stability and peaceful conflict resolution worldwide.

Reflecting on diplomatic relations established between the UAE and Slovenia in 1992, His Highness highlighted the significant roles of the UAE-Slovenia Joint Economic Committee and the Political Consultations Committee in promoting collaboration and exploring new avenues for partnership. He affirmed the UAE’s longstanding commitment to fostering development-centered partnerships that benefit all nations.

President Pirc Musar conveyed Slovenia’s eagerness to advance ties with the UAE in ways that support mutual prosperity and fulfill the aspirations of their peoples. She extended her gratitude for the warm welcome and the UAE’s ongoing commitment to deepening bilateral relations.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and senior officials from the Slovenian delegation.
