UAE Welcomes France’s Decision to Recognise State of Palestine

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, has welcomed the announcement by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding France’s intention to officially recognise the State of Palestine.
In a statement issued on Friday, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed described the move as a significant step that reinforces the international community’s efforts to advance the two-state solution and achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
His Highness expressed the UAE’s appreciation for this important decision, which he noted comes at a critical moment amid growing regional and global calls for a resolution to the long-standing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
“This step underscores the need for the international community to uphold its responsibilities and work collectively to revive the political process,” H.H. Sheikh Abdullah stated. He further emphasized that advancing such efforts will contribute to regional security and stability while supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and principles of international law.
Reaffirming the UAE’s firm commitment to the aspirations and rights of the Palestinian people, His Highness stressed the country’s continued engagement with regional and international partners to facilitate a just, comprehensive, and sustainable resolution. He underscored that ending the conflict and establishing lasting peace will lay the foundations for a more stable and prosperous future for all the peoples of the region.
